Our Treatments

During the procedure, the area is numbed with local anaesthetic, so you should not feel sharp pain, but you may feel pressure.

Afterwards, mild to moderate pain, swelling, and jaw stiffness are common for a few days. Pain relief may include paracetamol, ibuprofen (if suitable), and sometimes prescription medication. Ice packs can also help reduce swelling.

If pain becomes severe or gets worse after a few days, contact the clinic.

Most people need at least the rest of the day to rest. Many patients take 1 to 2 days off, depending on how complex the extraction was and whether sedation was used.

Avoid strenuous activity early on, as it can increase bleeding and swelling. Your dentist can advise when it is safe to return to normal activities.

Recovery varies, but many people feel much better within a few days, with more noticeable healing in 1 to 2 weeks.

Swelling and soreness are usually worst in the first 2 to 3 days, then gradually improve. Follow your aftercare instructions and contact the clinic if pain, swelling, or bleeding worsens instead of improving.

Eat soft foods for the first few days, such as yoghurt, mashed potato, soup (lukewarm), scrambled eggs, soft pasta, and smoothies (without a straw).

Avoid hard, crunchy, spicy, very hot, or chewy foods, as they can irritate the area. Return to normal foods gradually as you feel more comfortable.
