Philip graduated from the University of Adelaide in 1980 and after working for a couple of established dental practices, he moved to Tasmania and started his own practice, "Braeside Dental" in 1986. Philip has also served as the President of the Australian Dental Association for 2 years and continues to be a long standing member. Philip enjoys most aspects of general dentistry especially wisdom teeth extractions and implant work. He participates in Targa Tasmania every year as well as other motoring events in Tasmania and Victoria.
Janice studied Dentistry at University of Queensland and began her professional career at Braeside in 1994. She loved it so much she became a partner in the practice in 2000. Janice’s approach aims to provide a caring, preventative and pragmatic service. Her favourite dental specialities include managing the dry mouth and erosion, extractions and root canal work. When not at work, Janice enjoys the outdoors, vege gardening, cycling and exploring Tasmania’s spectacular landscape.
Bernie attended the University of Queensland and began his career as a dentist in the RAAF, before working and studying in England. After returning to Australia, Bernie ran a successful practice in Mackay, Queensland for over 20 years and was the local ADA representative. Since leaving Mackay in 2008, Bernie has worked as a locum in several practices and has also taught dental students at James Cook University in Cairns. He is now pleased to be a regular member of this friendly and competent team. His special interests include aesthetic dentistry and endodontics. Outside of dentistry, Bernie enjoys literature, a good beer and good conversation.
Trish originally trained as a dental therapist and worked in Tasmania
for a few years until moving to the UK.
She lived in England for 10 years and trained as a dental hygienist while there. Trish returned to Australia in 2000 and since then has worked as
a dental hygienist in Launceston.
She loves her job and is passionate about motivating patients to achieve optimum dental health. Her hobbies include cooking, gardening and yoga.
Kate completed her studies for AdDip Oral Hygiene in South Australia 2009. Then she moved to Launceston - Tasmania where she works for Braeside as her main dental practice. Kate has a passion for people’s dental health and in her spare time she
works with animals, concerned for their welfare.
